Omnicom, Interpublic & Squarespace sign gun safety letter after being called out by KnowTheCEO

On June 9th, CEOs for Gun Safety issued a letter calling for Congress to pass common sense gun laws. More than 220 companies signed the letter, which was similar to one the group issued in 2019.

Immediately following the letter’s publication, KnowTheCEO identified more than a dozen companies that had signed the 2019 version of the letter but whose names were missing from the 2022 version. Among the non-signers were Airbnb, Pinterest, Reddit, Royal Caribbean, and others.

In the days following our report, three major companies reversed course and agreed to sign. Executives from Omnicom, Interpublic & Squarespace are all now included in the 2022 CEOs for Gun Safety letter.
